FAQs

  • Spinal Flow healing sessions are very safe and gentle. We use precise physical touch on the access points on the cranium and sacrum. By gently contacting these access points, we are able to directly communicate with the nervous system to facilitate spinal flow to move through the spine.

During a Spinal Flow session, you may just feel relaxed. You may feel a gentle wave moving through your spine, tingling or twitching sensations or you may not feel anything at all and that is all completely normal. Sometimes emotional responses may occur during the session. Everyone is unique and will have different experiences during their session. Allow your body to feel and react as it wants. If emotions come up, don’t hold back and let it move through. E-motions are energy in motion. Spinal Flow also helps to release any emotions you have stored in your body. All that is required of you is to lie face down fully clothed, relax and enjoy connecting into your body.

  • We treat clients of all ages as young as newborn babies and clients who are experiencing a range of various pain, dis-ease and symptoms. Pregnant women, people with disabilities or special needs are all welcome. If you are not able to lay face down on the treatment table, we have options to do the session on your side or even in a seated position. As the technique is so gentle, anyone and everyone can experience the benefits of the Spinal Flow Technique.

  • No, you stay totally clothed for Spinal Flow. We just ask that you don’t wear jeans or clothes that have thick seams along the spine and around the waist. We also suggest not wearing a belt.

  • Healing sessions are approximately 30 minutes. Children tend to respond very quickly so their sessions are usually less than 15 minutes.

  • You may feel great after today, you may feel terrible and achy or you may feel no different at all – all these responses are normal and expected. Some clients enjoy immediate results, while others find that it takes time to feel relief from their pain or symptoms. Some people may feel that their symptoms exacerbate but this is totally normal and this actually means that your body is doing what it needs to heal. Imagine if you had food poisoning, you will experience discomfort as your intelligent body works to literally remove the toxins/ poison out of your system. You may have had certain symptoms for years, therefore your body will need time to adjust and heal. At these times, it is crucial that you continue the treatments. These are just bumps on the road towards greater healing. If you stop treatments because of this, you are refraining your body from true healing.

If you feel no different, don’t get upset, its ok it takes time, it is the same when we put on braces to straighten our teeth – they don’t become straight immediately – it takes time to make permanent change. Children often respond quickly, while adults with long standing, chronic issues, may heal more slowly and require more frequent treatments initially. Healing process takes time.

  • There are three stages of spinal flow care. Once you understand true health, you may want some type of ongoing spinal flow care.

    1 Initial intensive care

This is usually where most people begin their spinal flow care. Visits can be frequent, depending upon the severity of your condition. The primary focus is to reduce or eliminate your most obvious symptoms.

    2 Corrective care

When your ache or pain diminishes, the objective is to stabilize spinal function and promote a more complete healing.

    3 Wellness care

With the maximum restoration of spinal function, many clients enjoy regular spinal flow care. This type of wellness care can save time or money by keeping minor problems from becoming more serious.

Just as your condition took time, probably years, to develop, resolution may take some time.

Recommended course of treatment would be 3 intervals of 12 sessions, the first set of 12 being 3 times a week (Initial Intensive Care stage) if possible (or more often for debilitating or acute conditions), then dropping to 2 times a week (Corrective Care stage) and lastly, 1 time per week (Wellness Care stage).

We offer a complimentary re-assessment every 12th session so we can adjust treatment accordingly.  Every person and their healing ability is unique and individual.

Regular sessions and a commitment to overall self-care can help optimize the benefits of Spinal Flow.

  • We understand that working with young children especially infants and toddlers requires flexibility and creativity. During Spinal Flow sessions, we'll adapt our techniques to keep them happy and engaged, whether they're on their parent's lap, positioning them on their parent's tummy or the treatment table, or even nursing.
